In 1996 David Jackson curated an exhibition entitled “Tansu Exposed: The Craft of Japanese Antique Cabinetry.”
The exhibition was held in Chicago and sponsored by the Graham Foundation for the Advancement in the Fine Arts. It was one of the first exhibitions in the United States to focus exclusively on Tansu. More than twenty-five tansu of various styles and functions were showcased.
