These tansu were damaged by a ceiling plumbing leak.
Review of both chests meant addressing damage to lacquer surfaces and removal of wiped lacquer on top surface and drawer fronts as well.
Iron fittings were removed and surfaces sanded and stained in preparation for final finish which matched.
